News: (Completed) Notification: cPanel License Migration Exercise

Update on 22 December: The migration exercise has completed.  If you have any questions about your cPanel license or account, please do open a support ticket in your panel so we can help.


 





Dear Valued Customer,

Good day to you.

We would like to inform you that we will be starting an internal cPanel license migration exercise soon as we consolidate our cPanel licenging under our new cPanel vendor.  The migration will not have no effect on all customers, and wll start on Thursday, 26 November 2015. The migration exercise will take around a month to complete.

How will existing cPanel users be affected?

A) No change to features, price or billing cycle.


There will be no impact to your cPanel licenses or your servelets during the period, or at any time after. All cPanel licenses will be seamlessly migrated. Your WHM/cPanel functionality will work as per normal during the migration period.

B) Re-activation of License


However, during the next month, you will see in your account's dashboard in our portal that your existing cPanel/WHM VPS Optimized License service is terminated, and a new cPanel/WHM VPS Optimized License service has been created. This is normal as part of the migration exercise.



After the license migration is completed, cPanel/WHM server users will have to activate their new license by performing a simple step. The simple instructions will be sent individually to you.  At that time, you can also just reply to the notification to inform us to do the activation for you.


Rest assured that your your billing cycle, due-date, price, functionality or service features will not be affected.  


C) Recurring Payment through PayPal


If you are currently paying for your cPanel license through PayPal recurring payments, this recurring payment will be cancelled after the migration.  You will just have to do a one-time payment through PayPal in order to recreate your PayPal recurring profile.  We will send you the steps to do so after the migration.


How will new cPanel users be affected?

You will not be affected in any way.  All cPanel license orders will be processed normally.

1. In my dashboard, why does it say that my cPanel/WHM VPS Optimized License is terminated?

As part of the migration exercise, your existing cPanel/WHM VPS Optimized License will be terminated and a new one will be created.  You will see both a terminated license and a new license in the dashboard of your account.

2. Will my WHM/cPanel control panel operations on my servelet be affected?

No, your servelet's operations, as well as your WHM/cPanel control panel operations will not be affected, and will continue to function normally during the migration period.

3. Will there be any changes on the price for the license after the migration?

No, the price for the WHM/cPanel Optimized License will remain the same, and will not change.

4. Will there be any changes on the billing cycle of the service?

No, there will not be any changes on the billing cycle or due-date of the service. When a new service is being created to replace the old one, it will follow the same billing cycle and due-date.
