How do I install Plesk?

You can order a servelet with "Ubuntu 12.04.3 (64-bit) + Plesk" OS template.

After your Ubuntu+Plesk servelet is created, find the IP address of your servelet, as well as the root password of your servelet, and then access this URL:

https://[YOUR-IP-ADDRESS]:8443/

Replace [YOUR-IP-ADDRESS] with the IP address of your servelet.

If you receive warning message that the connection is untrusted, please ignore the warning. In Firefox, click on "I Understand the Risks" message and then click on "Add Exception" button.

Key in the username and password:

Username: root
Password: [YOUR-SERVELET-ROOT-PASSWORD]

As per above, you can check the root password of your servelet here.

Once you have successfully logged in, Parallels End-User License Agreement page will appear. Read the agreement, tick on "I agree to the terms of this license agreement." and "Do not show it again." and then click "Accept".

Key in the full hostname of your server, and select the IP address to use. The only IP address which you can use will be shown there as default. You cannot add IP addresses since our servelet can only support one IP address for the time being.

If you need to create multiple user accounts under Plesk, then you will need to move the IP address to "Shared IP addresses" box so that the IP address can be shared among all the user accounts.

Key in the new administrator password, twice for verification.

Click "OK" to apply all changes.

Choose the view that you would like to select for the product interface. Click "OK" to apply your selections.

Key in the administrator information such as Company Name, Contact Name, Email, etc. Click "OK" to continue.

Next, you will need to key in your Plesk license key. You would need to obtain and purchase the license key beforehand, if not, you need to click on "Order Key" to purchase the license key.

If you already have the license key, please click on "Install Key". Here, you can either key in the activation code, or upload the license key file (in .xml format). Click OK. If it's successful, you will see a message saying: "The new Panel key was uploaded".

Key in the website information, such as domain name, IP address, username and password. This will be used for your first webspace on Plesk. Click "OK".

You will then be redirected to your Plesk Panel and can start using the panel.

Before you add more domains/websites into your panel, you might want to check on how to make use of your data-disk for your Plesk data files here.
