Why the SPF default setting on my WHM/cPanel contain reference to another IP address which doesn't belong to me?

Back

The SPF default setting on your WHM/cPanel contains a reference to an IP address which doesn't belong to you (e.g. 103.25.202.240 or 103.25.202.57) because the WHM/cPanel was installed on a VM with the IP address, and then saved as a VM template. Therefore, the original IP address was being hard-coded on the $mainip variable on your WHM/cPanel configuration.

To change the SPF default setting to correctly use your IP address, you can follow the instruction on this URL.
