A. New SimplerCloud SSD Plans in 2018

The following new SSD cloud ranges were launched in July 2018:

 

1. New Cloud Plans Available from July 2018:

• Simple Cloud: Simple 1, Simple 2, Simple 3, Simple 4, Simple 5
• Custom Cloud Builder
• Virtual Private Cloud: VPC - Small, VPC - Medium, VPC - Large

 

2. Discontinued Ranges

Since July 2018, these SSD cloud ranges are no longer available for purchase 

• Simple Range: Plan XS, Plan S, Plan M, Plan L, Plan XL, Plan XXL
• Virtual Private Cloud: VPC Starter, VPC 1, VPC 2, VPC 3, VPC 4

All account users with plans from discontinued ranges will continue to be supported with no changes, and all features remain the same.  Plans from the discontinued range are no longer available for new purchase. 

B. Upgrade to the new Cloud Plans automatically

If you would like to upgrade your SimplerCloud plan to plans launched in July 2018, you can do so automatically from the SimplerCloud dashboard:

Here are the plan ranges that can be automatically upgraded to others: 

These plans can automatically be upgraded 

• Plan XS, Plan S, Plan M, Plan L, Plan XL, Plan XXL - CAN BE UPGRADED TO ---->  Simple 1, Simple 2, Simple 3, Simple 4, Simple 5, Custom Cloud Builder plans
• VPC - Starter, VPC 1, VPC 2, VPC 3, VPC 4 - CAN BE UPGRADED TO ---->  VPC - Small, VPC - Medium, VPC - Large 

 

Automatic Upgrade and Downgrade

Account users can upgrade their accounts to to new plans in the same range by going to their SimplerCloud dashboard, and selecting the new plans. 

If the new plan's monthly fee is higher than your current monthly fee, you will be charged the pro-rated difference in increased fees before the upgrade proceeds. A new invoice will be generated and you will need to make payment for the invoice online during the upgrade process. If the new plan's monthly fee is lower than your current fee, you will be credited the pro-rated difference automatically during the downgrade process.

Note that if your new servelet's disk space is lower than the original disk space after a downgrade, all the data will be lost. You should backup all your data (especially on your data-disk) and restore your data once downgrade is completed.

Changing Plan from one Range to Another

SimplerCloud account users can migrate to other plan ranges, but the plans cannot be automatically upgraded through the SimplerCloud dashboard.  

Here are the migration paths that cannot be automatically upgraded through the SimplerCloud dashboard.

• Simple Cloud to Virtual Private Cloud
• Custom Cloud Builder to Virtual Private Cloud
• Virtual Private Cloud to Custom Cloud Builder
• Virtual Private Cloud to Simple Cloud

In order to change your SimplerCloud plan from one to another in the above ranges, here is what you can do:

1. Purchase the new plan of choice from the SimplerCloud dashboard.
2. Optional: Migrate server contents to the new server
3. Cancel the old plan
